3 exercises to blast fat fast!

1) Treadmill scorcher!
We know it can be challenging to get outside during the winter months but don't let that stop you from getting a fat blasting workout! Next time you hit the gym, try this treadmill HIIT routine.
3 min warm up
1 min walk
1 min speed walk/jog RPE 6
1 min Jog/Run RPE 8
3 min cool down.

2) Kettlebell Squats with a slow tempo
The next time you are at the gym, try this squat variation.
Grab one or two kettlebells and stand with your feet slightly wider than hip distance apart. Take 8 counts to lower down towards the floor. Pause at the bottom for 4 counts and then stand right back up for 4 counts.
Watch for: Your heels lifting, your hips stopping at 90 degrees. If either of these happen to you, come schedule a consultation and let's figure out why and how we can make your squat form better.
3) Weighted Push ups
Thought push ups were hard enough? Once you've mastered your own body weight, try adding a plate to your back. Stick with your same slow tempo as your squat. Take 8 counts to lower yourself to the floor, pause at the bottom for 4 counts and take 4 counts to push right back up. Need to modify? Try bringing your chest all the way to the floor for full range, lift your hands up off of the floor, then place them back down to complete the push up.
